What are Product Genius Tokens and why do you use them?

Product Genius Tokens, or PGTs, are like special coins we use to pay for the AI that powers our digital employees. We use them because:

1. We work with multiple different AIs from multiple different vendors, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Voyage, and AWS. Each model and each vendor charges differently for their work.

2. Product Genius Tokens (PGTs) allow us to create a standard representation of these distinct models, allowing us to compare and contrast using a common currency.

3. When you use our digital employees, we pay the AI vendors with real money. But you just use Genius Tokens, and we handle the complicated stuff.

4. This way, you don't have to worry about different prices or surprise bills. You get a set number of Tokens each month, and that's it!

5. We give you more tokens each month than most customers will ever need. So unless you are a very large customer, or receive an unusual amount of customer input, you'll likely never run out. If you do run out, we make it easy for you to add more tokens to your account.

6. Or, if you prefer, you can use your own AI accounts with one of our supported vendors. Then, you'll pay them directly and just pay us for Product Genius. You'll never use any Product Genius Tokens at all!

• What are Product Genius Tokens? Product Genius Tokens, or PGTs for short, measure how much you use our AI. Don't worry - most customers never run out!

• How many do I get? Each account gets 100,000 PGTs each month for free. This is more than enough for most customer use cases.

• How many PGTs does it take for a single customer conversation? That's a great question, but the answer varies a lot based on many factors, including how much information is included in the conversation, how much content your site has that the AI uses in creating its response, and how advanced of a model you are using. Put simply, you can think of 1 PGT as roughly 100 pages of text with ChatGPT-4, or 20 pages of text with Claude Opus.

• Do Tokens expire? Yes, if you do not use your 100,000 PGTs in a given month, then the unused Tokens expire at the end of each month. You'll start with a new, fresh set of 100,000 PGTs for the next month.

• What if I need more Tokens? You can purchase more tokens if you need them.

• How much do extra Tokens cost? Extra Tokens cost $40 for 100,000 extra. These extra tokens do not expire and can be carried over month to month.

• What's an AI employee? It's like a digital helper that works for your business. You can have as many as you want!

• Is there a limit on customer conversations? No, you can have as many customer conversations as your Tokens allow.

• Who needs the Enterprise Plan? Large companies or those with special requirements should contact us about the Enterprise Plan.

• Do I have to use Genius Tokens? Today, yes. But we are adding support for you to "bring your own AI" that will allow you to use your own, enterprise-grade AI account at one of the major AI vendors. But, for now, you must use PGTs for your AI usage.

• I already have ChatGPT or Claude, can I use my existing account? No, not directly. Please note that OpenAI, Anthropic, and many other providers offer consumer grade services that are not related to their API services. ChatGPT is OpenAI's consumer offering, and Claude is Anthropic AI's. These accounts are not usable by Product Genius.
